The term “accessibility” slips off the tongue, and its real implications are sometimes missed. We have to admit that up to now, it hasn’t been part of our core philosophy. We only sometimes get asked to make solutions accessible. And that’s after we’ve finished the build. That means it’s awkward, cumbersome and unnecessarily expensive. If only we had built it from the ground up.

Starting this year, we are joining the RIV Collective in Washington, D.C., to ensure our product designs are also usable for people with disabilities. Audio and visual impairment, for example, are the most common.

In the U.S., for example, there are many cases where lawsuits are being filed against companies that produce apps that exclude people with disabilities. Not so much in the UK now, but as you are aware, the world is moving in that direction. And as well as being a good look for your company, how else can you increase your target audience by doing so little?

Our Philosophy

Why accessibility matters

If your website or web app was not designed with accessibility in mind, it does not mean people with disabilities cannot use it. It simply means there is room to improve, and in many cases those improvements are straightforward.

In the U.S., lawsuits are increasingly being filed against companies whose apps exclude people with disabilities. While this is less common in the UK today, the direction of travel is clear. Beyond compliance and legal risk, accessibility is also a good look for your company and one of the simplest ways to increase your potential audience.

How we work

We start with a clear, practical diagnostic that highlights the most important accessibility issues to address. This initial snapshot is free, with no pressure and no follow-up required unless you choose to continue the conversation.

If deeper work is needed, we offer full WCAG or Section 508 audits, along with hands-on support for teams planning or implementing accessibility updates. We can work directly with your existing development team or provide guidance where required.

Our goal is to help you build digital experiences that work for as many people as possible, from early concept to launch. Accessible design is simply better design, because building with inclusion in mind benefits everyone.

A fast, free diagnostic that gives you a clear understanding of your current accessibility posture, including:

  • Key WCAG 2.2 AA issues
  • Areas of potential legal or compliance risk
  • High-impact opportunities to improve accessibility
